• Our Growers: With a membership exceeding 600, the BC Blueberry Council proudly champions the high-quality highbush blueberries grown across the beautiful landscape of British Columbia.

• Collaborative Efforts: At BC Blueberry Council, we work hand in hand with growers, packers, and processors to expand market opportunities for BC blueberries, both within Canada and on the international stage.
• Facing Challenges: Challenges such as increased global blueberry production, protectionist rhetoric, varied maximum residue level standards, and tariffs have come our way. However, we’ve responded with determination.
• Market Expansion: We’ve increased BC Blueberries’ market share in key global markets and actively collaborate with government officials and local communities in emerging markets.
• Annual Campaigns: We develop two annual campaigns, focusing on fresh and frozen blueberries, to boost awareness and promote BC blueberries.
• Support Services: BC Blueberry Council offers on-farm support and food safety services to our growers. This includes risk assessment, consultation on food safety plans, and assistance in meeting regulatory requirements.
• Funding Opportunities: We keep a vigilant eye on funding opportunities and regularly share valuable information with our growers.
• Grower Liaison: Our dedicated grower liaison works closely with growers and municipal by-law offices to address compliance issues and respond to public concerns.
• Advocating for Growers: BC Blueberry Council advocates on behalf of its members to alleviate the burdens faced by growers. We strive for access to affordable labor, a fair taxation system, and reduced trade barriers.
• Industry Participation: We ensure a diverse range of crop protection tools remains available in Canada and actively participate in industry-level decision-making meetings and events.
