Refuge City Pentecostal Church: A Spiritual Journey Unfolded
Refuge City Pentecostal Church, founded in March 2002, embarked on its humble journey with the establishment of cell groups in homes across the Greater Toronto Area. The primary goal was to foster Bible studies and build a strong community foundation.
Growth and Expansion
Weekly meetings, initially held in homes, led to the acquisition of a small hall in the Town of Ajax by the grace of God. However, with the burgeoning membership, the need for a more extensive space became evident. In September 2003, the congregation transitioned to a more spacious facility at 545 Kingston Road, where it thrived for a decade, earning recognition as a prominent Apostolic-Pentecostal church in the Durham Region.
A Decade of Flourishing
As Refuge City continued to experience both spiritual and numerical growth, a move to an even more suitable location at 10 Fuller Rd became imperative. This transition, which took place over 11 years ago, was a testament to the dedication, sacrifice, and commitment of its members. The new building became a haven for transformative services that impacted the lives of the community.
A Ministry with Impact
Refuge City’s vision revolves around providing a refuge for the hurting, depressed, and confused, offering help, forgiveness, guidance, and encouragement. Through anointed and life-changing services, numerous souls have embraced Jesus as their personal Savior. The ministry, marked by a personal touch, continues to radiate God’s love and grace into the community.
Our Mission: Spreading the Gospel
Refuge City is on a mission to expose the Durham region and surrounding areas to the gospel of Jesus Christ, with the objective of making disciples. This aligns with the fulfillment of the great commission, a cornerstone of the church’s commitment to sharing the message of hope and salvation.
