Webster Farms Limited – Proudly Owned by Annapolis Valley First Nations
Located in Cambridge, Kings County, Nova Scotia, Webster Farms Limited is the first Mi’kmaq-owned farm in the province. Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Annapolis Valley, the farm is steeped in history and dedicated to producing high-quality agricultural products.
A Legacy of Farming Excellence
Webster Farms traces its roots to the 1760s, occupying a portion of the original Webster family land grants. Today, the farm is managed by a team of experienced professionals, including Farm, Office, and HR managers, who oversee 20 full-time staff and over 100 seasonal employees annually.
Specializing in Strawberries, Raspberries, and Dry Beans
Webster Farms is renowned for producing premium strawberries, raspberries, dry beans, rhubarb, and winter rye. During the traditional summer berry season, fresh strawberries (late June to late July) and raspberries (mid-July to mid-September) are marketed across Atlantic Canada. Frozen strawberries and raspberries are also available in limited quantities for year-round enjoyment.
Traditional Craftsmanship and Innovation
The farm operates a seasonal mill dedicated to manufacturing traditional wooden berry boxes, maintaining a unique connection to local heritage. Webster Farms also conducts ongoing trials of new berry varieties to ensure efficient production and exceptional quality.
Commitment to Quality
Freshly harvested strawberries and raspberries are precooled to remove field heat, extending shelf life and preserving flavor. Webster Farms carefully selects berry varieties for their superior appearance, firmness, and taste, ensuring customer satisfaction with every purchase.
