Recreational Program
EDL’s recreational program offers quality dance instruction from a dedicated faculty without the commitment of a competitive program. These classes provide a safe and fun environment where children learn the fundamentals of dance while developing creativity, social skills, and perseverance. The recreational program includes various dance disciplines:

- Jazz/Broadway
- Acro-Dance

Pre-Competitive Program
The Pre-Competitive Program, known as the Future Stars team, is designed for dancers aged 4 to 7 to explore the world of competitive dance. Students dance an average of two hours per week, participating in both technique and choreography classes. The program includes disciplines such as jazz, acro-dance, hip hop, and tap. The Future Stars team participates in two local competitions in Ottawa and showcases their skills in the “Mini Show” and the EDL Gala at the end of the season.
Competitive Troops
Purple Team
The Purple Team offers dancers the chance to grow in the competitive dance world. These students explore various styles and work on their techniques in multiple disciplines. Throughout the season, the Purple Team participates in four competitions, the “Mini Show,” and the EDL Gala.
Mauve Team
The Mauve Team is for elite dancers committed to the competitive dance lifestyle. These students train for several hours weekly, refining their techniques across various disciplines. Dancers push their limits by participating in conventions and high-caliber competitions. During the season, the Mauve Team competes in four competitions, the “Mini Show,” and the EDL Gala.
