Our story began in 1947 when Jim and Helen Maddocks established Maddocks The Clock Shop, a small business dedicated to delivering quality timepieces to the community. Over the years, their dedication to exceptional service and craftsmanship earned them a loyal customer base. In 1964, Dennis Myers joined the team as a salesperson under the guidance of Jim Maddocks. Motivated by his passion for horology, Dennis pursued formal training and obtained a degree in watch and clockmaking.
In 1972, Maddocks-Myers Jewellers Ltd. was born, marking a new chapter in our journey. Since then, we have proudly served the people of Chatham-Kent with the same honesty and integrity that defined our beginnings. Initially situated at 196 Queen Street, we later relocated to our current address at 240 Grand Ave East in Chatham when Jim Maddocks retired in 1989.
With an impressive 48 years of experience, Dennis Myers stands as the sole certified horologist (watchmaker) in Chatham. Our expertise lies not only in repairing and designing exquisite jewelry but also in servicing watches, clocks, and even grandfather clocks within the comfort of your home.
