Sparks Eggs is a leading supplier of farm fresh eggs to Calgary, Edmonton and the Alberta marketplace.
Since the Gilani family bought Sparks in 1976, it has been a major part of the Alberta egg industry for more than 35 years, and we continue to put money into growing the egg market for our industry.
Today the egg farm consists of laying barns.
Approximately half of Alberta’s egg supply is processed through the Grading Station, which receives eggs from more than 80 different farms in Alberta.
About 37,000 square feet of space is dedicated to our manufacturing, sorting, packaging, marketing, and warehousing operations. Up to 400 cases (7,500 to 9,000 dozen eggs) per hour can be processed and packaged with the use of cutting-edge grading machinery. This is equivalent to more than a million eggs daily!
