Some of our customers may still remember Stu and Dorothy Young, who started Young’s Pharmacy in Georgetown.
Over 60 years ago, the couple opened their store next to the Old Bank Building on Main Street. They told the people in the area that they believed in giving great customer service and good old-fashioned small-town care.
Young’s Pharmacy has a history that goes back much further. We have been around for a long time and are known and trusted in Georgetown. Even though our name has changed over the years, records show that we have been passed down from family to family since at least 1857, when a pharmacist named Thomas Ruston took over Watson & Ruston, Druggist and Stationers, presumably with his partner Mr. Watson.
